Matt Krause served as Litigation Counsel for Liberty Counsel for five years. During that time, Matt focused his practice on appellate practice, free speech, traditional family values, pro-life, and religious liberty constitutional law. In his work with Liberty Counsel, Matt conducted many radio and television interviews and testified before the United States Commission on Civil Rights, as well as having appeared in state and federal courts.
Matt was part of the inaugural class that entered Liberty University School of Law in 2004. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Law School in May of 2007, where he served as a Managing Editor on Law Review. Matt also participated in Moot Court, where he was selected to represent the school at the ABA National Competition. He also served as the President and Vice President of the Student Bar Association while in law school.
Matt currently serves on the Board of Trustees of San Diego Christian College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2003, with a B.A. in History and Social Sciences. While in college, Matt served as President of the Student Body, served as a Resident Assistant for two years, and was a four-year starter on the Men's Basketball Team, where he was recognized as a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete. His athletic efforts earned him a mention in ESPN the Magazine, and the college named an award after him. Every year, the Matt Krause Award is given to one student athlete who has exhibited athletic, academic, and spiritual leadership on campus.
Matt is not only passionate about the law, but politics as well. He is the GOP Candidate-elect for Texas House District 93 and looks forward to serving the citizens of his district and the great state of Texas by advancing and defending the great freedoms and liberties Texas and America were founded on.
Matt and his wife, Jennie, and their children, Jeremiah, Hannah Sue, and James reside in Fort Worth, TX.
