Whereas, many great American men and women, as instrumental leaders in the creation of American history, were people of high caliber and integrity who did not hesitate to express their faith; and
Whereas, Christian Heritage Month provides our citizens with an opportunity to acknowledge blessings, to contemplate and offer solutions to the numerous challenges society faces and to be rededicated to our nation’s spiritual ancestry;
Now, Therefore, I, Gary R. Herbert, Governor of the State of Utah, do hereby declare December 2009 as Christian Heritage Celebration.
